New Assassin Skill : Confirmed by Anet.
http://www.guildwars.com/support/gam...llspreview.php
Or if you are too lazy to click there..
Shadow Meld: "Shadow Meld is a maintained Enchantment similar to Aura of Displacement. However, rather than Shadow Stepping to a foe, you Shadow Step to an ally. Step to a friendly Warrior and confuse enemy ranks with a sudden spike, then escape from danger. Note that this Enchantment goes on yourself, so watch for enemy removal attempts."
Same thing as AoD, so I would assume it's "No Attribute". However, I think it's a pretty lame skill, I would rather use AoD and Return.
Whats your thoughts?

So it's like a spell made for trapper assassins? Nice.

i don't do pvp much, so i can't honestly give an opinion about that skill in pvp.
in pve, i don't go for the target my warrior locks on [and in essence, my whole team], i go for the straggler on the outer fringes of battle: the ill-placed mesmer or ritualist. the warrior goes into the middle and the thick of things and gets hit with all the stuff [including AoE stuff..it could happen] the mobs throw at him. it would be weird too if you cast it on your monk when he's being harrassed. i guess we'll have to try it out along with the other new sin skills. hopefully they'll be better.
i'm not impressed. i'm not totally put off by it either.

I wouldn't say it's too bad, it might even make it easier for sins to back people up. Since it doesn't seem to be an elite it could be used in place of AoD and thus allow another elite for a faster stronger strike for either laser targeted defense or for a backup spiker. And also another overlooked detail is that if you need an ally to step to then that means you wouldn't be the first thing targeted popping up in the middle of the enemy group.

Well maybe it's not elite, which in and of itself would make it better in a way.

And, ya know, the way the skill works.
Shadow Meld is an immediate teleport and then a delayed location based teleport.
Return is simply a delayed target based teleport.
